The Florida Sea to Sea 3-Day Expedition Race takes racers through the best areas that Florida has to offer. Teams will be provided with a set of maps and instructions they will use to navigate to a series of Check Points or Flags on their way across Florida. The goal is to get as many Check Points as possible in the 72 hours and make it to the finish before the cut off on Sunday.
The Crooked Compass Adventure Trek is part-adventure racing and part-walk in the woods! Solos and teams of 2-4 will travel only by foot, using pre-plotted maps and a compass as they locate as many checkpoints as possible. For those new to adventure racing this is a great introductory event that will give you a taste of the sport.
Racers will have 24 hours to cover up to 100 miles via kayak/canoe, foot, and mountain bike over rugged and beautiful terrain, picking up checkpoints along the way in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in the spring. You'll tackle 25-35 miles of trekking, 16 miles of paddling on the Shenandoah River, and about 50-60 miles of mountain biking on some uh-mazing trails. You'll feel challenged for sure, but you'll have a great time doing it...and that finish-line feeling? Come feel it for yourself!
